OIS students have had a long tradition of helping in the Library – because they enjoy reading and because they want to help our school, through Service as Action [SA in the Middle Years Programme] or Creativity, Activity and Service [CAS in the Diploma Years Programme].

Throughout the years, we have had students from MYP through DP contributing to this learning and reading space by being part of the Library Helpers group. This school year, a group of students came together working alongside with Ms. do Vale and Ms. Carmo Oliveira in the Library and started a new group: The OIS Page Turners.

Students from years 8 and 10 have signed up so far, but we will welcome students from the Primary Years, DP and other year levels too!

If you are interested in all-things-books-related, join our group! The Page Turners are involved in helping in the Library by shelving and labelling books, making posters, contributing with ideas for reading initiatives, suggesting books, promoting academic integrity and more.

We meet on Wednesdays at lunchtime but, if this is not the ideal time for you, please let me know and we can find an alternative day and time.
